High-net-worth advice firm Koda Capital has poached three advisers from rival JBWere, who together spoke for nearly $1 billion in client assets.
Street Talk understands Simon Talbot, Elizabeth Watson and Caitlin Laffey have tendered their resignations at the NAB-owned wealth management group and are due to resurface in Koda Capital’s Melbourne office in July.
Talbot and Watson were directors at JBWere, while Laffey was a wealth adviser and strategic financial planner. The trio, along with Sarah Alvares and Christine Ye, advised on more than $1 billion in client assets equating circa $5 million in revenue.
“We are thrilled that this high quality team has decided to join Koda. The team have been drawn to Koda’s independent and contemporary wealth management offering to successful Australians and for purpose organisations,” Koda Capital managing partner Jonathan Ayres said when contacted by Street Talk.
The hires take Koda, which was co-founded by ex MLC chief Steve Tucker, to over 50 Partners, overseeing $13 billion in funds under advice.
